Business ownership and training is more than just an academic discipline at TiU's Entrepreneur College, it's a way of life. Connecting theory with practice, we infuse entrepreneurship throughout TiU. The skills learned are vital to the success of your business as a trainer.

The Entrepreneur College provides foundation and advanced knowledge and skills for starting up and running a training business. Trainers work from the bottom up to discover and solve a key life challenge they are passionate about. You not only learn fundamental theories behind good business practices and what it takes to run a profitable business, but you also gain real-world experience because you are running your own training business.

The stakes are high. You must successfully present an accurate, up-to-date business plan to your mentor and immediate team. You'll learn about costs, inventory management, equipment, recruiting other trainers, employees needed, and associated expenses such as health-care benefits and paid time off. You'll learn how to research whether a market exists for the type of training you want to sell. Your mentors will give feedback about whether your plan and numbers make sense. Most importantly, you'll learn how to make a profit while doing what you love.

TiU is a living laboratory, where we experiment, improve, and evolve how to teach business processes and foster entrepreneurial mind-sets. We are innovative in our integrated, experience-based learning environment. Trainers apply the management skills of traditional business disciplines to the recognition and shaping of their own business within TiU.

Business for Trainers focuses on opportunity recognition, assessment, and realization. Coursework provides trainers with customized paths for success as a Trainer at TiU. Trainers will be able to apply the management skills of traditional business disciplines to the recognition and shaping of opportunities as a trainer.
